“Qi” (pronounced chee), means air, breath of life, or vital energy that flows through all things in the universe. “Gong” (pronounced gung, as in lung) means the skill of working with, or cultivating, self-discipline and achievement. Together, Qigong means the skill of cultivating vital energy, or the ability to work with the electromagnetic energy of the body.
Qigong is a mind-body practice that improves one’s mental and physical health by integrating postures, movement, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Medical Qigong therapy is the energetic foundation of Chinese medicine. It addresses the root cause of disharmony within a person, while working with them as a whole. In a Medical Qigong session, the practitioner, having developed through dedicated study and self-cultivation the ability to sense and manipulate energy, uses Qi emission to restore health and wellness to the client. The practitioner may also teach medical qigong exercises and meditations.
Dr. Dia Lynn specializes in a particular aspect of Medical Qigong dealing with spiritual energy. During a client intake, if they mention difficult connections with others, feelings of being energetically depleted or obsessed or having experienced unconsciousness or near death, Dr. Lynn’s attention shifts to those subtle layers of the auric field where non-physical cords of attachment may be found and released. In some cases, there have been tears in the field that allow lower level or malevolent entities to enter and gain control over the person. These conditions may lend themselves to clearings, leaving the client free and in control of their consciousness. Lesser forms of cording often deal with unfinished relationships that must be released to allow both parties to continue living autonomously.
Treatment consists of energy diagnosis of the field, scanning for tears to be mended or projections to be eliminated. The central core of light is accessed as well as the chakras and associated organs which contain negative emotions and memories. These structures are cleared, and the field is balanced. The client will be instructed in methods of energy protection and strengthening their field, centering and grounding.
Medical Qigong Energy Healing
Dia has been a master of Medical Qigong since 2001. Dia has sponsored Qigong Clinics in Carmel and Monterey, California. She performs private healing sessions and teaches small Qigong exercise classes (internal form). A Qigong practitioner is highly disciplined, with a very focused mind similar to that of a well-seasoned meditator. To practice healing as subtle as Medical Qigong, a practitioner must have unusual abilities of subtle perception. Dia Lynn uses a medical intuitive sense for multi-dimensional diagnoses as well as giving holistic treatments and homework exercises. She can also perform successful distance healing with light, sound and mental/spiritual Qi extension.
What is Medical Qigong?
One of 5 branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Medical Qigong is an external form of affecting and directing Qi, (chi) or the life force, for medical benefit. This type of “energy work” is subtle and precise, refined and profoundly effective.
Widely understood in China and becoming increasingly available in the West, Medical Qigong relies on the ability to direct Qi with the mind, the hands, or a ritual object, but without necessarily touching the body. Like its better-known counterparts acupuncture and herbal medicine, Medical Qigong requires thorough knowledge of TCM scientific theory.
Medical Qigong includes both external forms where the practitioner treats a client, and internal forms where the client learns to manipulate his or her own Qi for specific medical purposes using exercises designed especially for him or her.
